Day Itinerary Planning
For travelers who need help planning one specific day, a short stay, a side trip, or an additional day within an existing Japan itinerary.
Day Itinerary Planning provides the same thoughtful approach as our multi-day itinerary service, whether you're planning a short trip on its own or need to adjust part of an itinerary you've already finalized. Each day is built around your interests, location, transportation needs, comfort level, and travel style.

Day Itinerary Planning may be purchased for one or more individual days, up to four days total. For trips requiring five or more days of planning, our Multi-Day Itinerary packages are typically a better fit.

Travel Consultation
For travelers who have detailed logistics or questions to work through, whether they're planning independently or already have an itinerary with us.
A Travel Consultation gives you focused, one-on-one time with someone who knows Japan well, whether you're still deciding if a full itinerary is worth it, working through a trip you're planning on your own, or need help with something specific. If that conversation leads you toward booking full planning within 14 days, we'll credit your session fee toward the cost.

An honest assessment of whether your self-planned trip is realistic and well-paced
Extra time to work through logistics that couldn't be fully covered during your itinerary review
Already a client? Your complimentary intro call covers much of the same ground as a Travel Consultation, so booking one beforehand often isn't necessary, though it's still available if you'd like extra time beyond what your itinerary reviews cover.

Pre-Departure Check-In
For travelers who planned their Japan trip well in advance and would like their existing itinerary reviewed closer to departure.
A Pre-Departure Check-In gives us the opportunity to revisit your itinerary before your journey begins. We'll review your destinations, experiences, and travel plans to help confirm that important details remain accurate. This includes checking for changes such as venue closures, renovations, seasonal availability, schedule changes, or other circumstances that may have arisen since your itinerary was created. Any necessary adjustments related to these changes are included at no additional charge. We'll walk through any updates together and answer your questions so you feel confident and ready before you go.
This service may be a good fit for:
Trips planned several months or more in advance
Itineraries with seasonal sights, special events, or timing-sensitive experiences
Travelers who would like a final virtual walkthrough before departure
We strongly recommend requesting your Pre-Departure Check-In no later than four weeks before departure to allow time for a smooth review.
Larger changes, like new destinations, a different route, an extended or shortened trip, or a shift in overall priorities, may require Day Itinerary Planning or a separate custom quote instead.
