Day Itinerary Planning
For travelers who need help planning one specific day, a short stay, a side trip, or an additional day within an existing Japan itinerary.
Day Itinerary Planning provides the same thoughtful approach as our multi-day itinerary service, focused on creating one well-paced, personalized day based on your interests, location, transportation needs, comfort level, and travel style.
This service may be a good fit for:
A short stopover in Japan
A day trip added to your itinerary
A focused food, culture, nature, shopping, or photography day
Reworking one specific day of an existing itinerary when your plans, preferences, or priorities have changed
Day Itinerary Planning may be purchased for one or more individual days, up to four days total. For trips requiring five or more days of planning, our Multi-Day Itinerary packages are typically a better fit.
Larger itinerary revisions involving multiple days, route structure, destinations, trip length, or overall travel priorities may require a separate custom quote.

Travel Consultation
For travelers who have detailed logistics or questions to work through, whether they're planning independently or already have an itinerary with us.
A Travel Consultation gives you focused, one-on-one time to work through logistics, decisions, or questions that fall outside what's already included with your itinerary reviews. If you're not yet a client and that conversation leads you toward booking full planning, we'll credit your session fee toward the cost, as long as you book within 14 days.
This service may be a good fit for:
Questions or changes that go beyond what's covered in your included itinerary reviews
Logistics questions on an itinerary you've already planned yourself or through another source
JR Pass, transportation routing, or booking strategy
An honest assessment of whether your self-planned trip is realistic and well-paced
A quick note: Travel Consultations are meant for guidance and logistics, not full itinerary creation. If you know you'll be booking an itinerary package, initial planning questions are already covered in your complimentary intro call, no consultation needed.

Pre-Departure Check-In
For travelers who planned their Japan trip well in advance and would like their existing itinerary reviewed closer to departure.
A Pre-Departure Check-In gives us the opportunity to revisit your itinerary before your journey begins and help confirm that important details still align with your travel period. We’ll check for changes such as closures, renovations, seasonal availability, changes to venue hours, event date or time changes, cancellations, or similar circumstances that may affect your plans. Any necessary adjustments related to these circumstances are included at no additional charge.
Together, we’ll review any updates, answer your questions, and help you feel confident and prepared before your journey begins.
This service may be a good fit for:
Trips planned several months or more in advance
Itineraries with seasonal sights, special events, or timing-sensitive experiences
Travelers who would like a final virtual walkthrough before departure
To allow enough time for any necessary adjustments, we strongly recommend completing the Pre-Departure Check-In at least three weeks before your trip begins.
If you would like to make changes based on new preferences or a change in your travel plans, such as adding new destinations, changing the route, extending or shortening the trip, adjusting your travel style, or changing overall priorities, additional planning support through Single-Day Itinerary Planning or a separate custom quote may be required.
